Elbow Pain is most often found in people who overuse the elbow joint. This overuse is usually directly related to sports or work activities. The key to successful treatment is to identify the exact cause of the problem and to develop treatments specific to those causes.

Epicondylitis:

This condition is more commonly referred to as “Tennis Elbow”. Despite the name, many types of athletes can acquire this condition when damage of the tendons of the extensor muscles occurs. This damage is caused through chronic overuse or a specific trauma sustained by the tendons, resulting in inflammation and pain.

Olecrenon Bursitis:

Olecrenon Bursitis, also known as “Elbow Bursitis”, is caused primarily by either trauma or prolonged pressure. This condition can lead to pain and soreness in the elbow, as well swelling in the area.

Cubital Tunnel Syndrome:

Cubital Tunnel Syndrome may occur when the ulnar nerve in the arm becomes irritated or compressed. This nerve travels from the neck down into the hand and can become constricted in many places along this path. Depending on where the nerve is compressed, it can cause pain in the elbow, wrists, hand, or fingers. When the compression happens at the elbow, it is referred to as Cubital Tunnel Syndrome.
